This year, Haikou would implement the more active opening strategy, implementing the "six major projects" such as the pilot project of Jiangdong New District, the upgrading project of important districts' sections and other projects about attracting investment, talents and the business environment.

In 2019, Haikou planned to invest more than 30 billion yuan in the pilot project of Jiangdong New District, completing the detailed planning and other special planning of underground space, transportation, municipal pipe network and ecological, starting the construction of more than 10 headquarters buildings during the year, and actively introducing the domestic and foreign headquarters and functional organizations to this district.

The southern part of the Haikou west coast has fully started the construction of the road network, ecological governance and landscape upgrading, constructing another "Ever Green Park" in the central core zone, which would surround the Future Industrial Park and the Internet headquarters base of the Fuxing City the Haikou west coast. It would create the innovation and development areas that integrate and develop the second headquarters of high-tech enterprises, emerging social media, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

CCTV News gave a special report to Hainan Province on the evening of February 24 with the title "Hainan: construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone aims high standard", which spoke highly of the latest measures of the construction of the pilot free trade zone.

According to the report, Hainan published the first batch of eight cases of institutional innovation of the pilot free trade zone recently, including the general commercial registration in the province, intellectual property securitization and so on. This move aims to improve the business environment through institutional innovation to realize the cross-border free flow of personnel, goods and capitals, to attract investors from all over the world to invest in Hainan.

The CCTV News reporters also launched interviews in Sanya of Hainan. They noted that as an important fulcrum for the construction of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone, and as a key carrier for the coordinated development of Hainan's land and the sea, Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City has already started work in full swing after the Spring Festival of 2019. It will focus on the distribution of the deep-sea science and technology, the breeding of species in the southern areas to promote the development of the entire Sanya city.

The report delivered an important message to the audience that in 2019, Hainan is striving to build itself into an advanced International Trade Single Window with Hainan characteristics, which will support foreign financial institutions to further participate in the construction of Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone and build the zone with high standards.
