In Hainan, south of China, there is a village with a Southeast Asian style called Bali Village. Why build a place like this in Hainan? Let's find out with Lara!

追溯至上世紀(jì)50年代，從海南走出去的華僑，陸續(xù)從東南亞等地回國(guó)，落戶在萬(wàn)寧興隆，形成了獨(dú)特的東南亞歸僑文化，印尼元素與海南當(dāng)?shù)匚幕娜诤?，使得這里獨(dú)具東南亞風(fēng)情。2011年，海南省與印度尼西亞的巴厘省，開(kāi)始建立了友好省份關(guān)系。

Back in the 1950s, vast numbers of the Hainan diaspora whose ancestors had emigrated to South-East Asia began returning to Hainan. Many of those returning from Indonesia settled on Hainan’s east coast in Xinglong. This led to the rise of a unique and vibrant South-East Asian returnee culture, resulting from the blending of Indonesian elements with Hainan's local culture. In 2011, Hainan province was twinned with Indonesia's Bali province, marking the start of a ‘friendship province’ relationship.

這座巴厘村，如今已經(jīng)成為中國(guó)與印尼友誼的橋梁，也是海南省和巴厘省友好關(guān)系的見(jiàn)證。

Now this village represents a bridge of friendship. Linking the people of China and Indonesia, and is also a testament to the cordial relations between the sister provinces of Hainan and Bali.
